Senior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Trident Medical Center. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly closing journal entries using accrual-based accounting principles.
  • Review and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and timely correction of errors.
  • Prepare complex balance sheet account reconciliations and assist in the development of the annual budget.
  • Prepare referral source check requests for providers and track and calculate the monthly professional fees accrual.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting at the request of the Controller and maintain Industrial Accounts.
  • Respond to requests for information related to both external and internal audits.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of accounting experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
  • Special Qualifications: Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and proficiency in business software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
