Job Description

ABM Industries is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Passenger Service Supervisor to join our team at San Francisco International Airport. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our passenger service activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of front-line employees to achieve operational performance and functional service activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and interpret policies and procedures to assist front-line employees in performing functional tasks.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Ensure all call-offs are covered and schedules are complete, including days off, vacations, and other time-off requests.
  • Accommodate increased or decreased client staffing requests as needed.
  • Manage employee lunches and breaks, as well as the No-Fault Attendance Policy.
  • Participate in client briefings and communicate with client representatives on a frequent basis regarding operations.
  • Manage daily schedules and maintain daily shift reports for managers.
  • Perform basic administrative and payroll functions, as required.
  • Maintain communication with Duty Managers to maintain optimum staffing levels.
  • Effectively coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed.
  • Conduct service audits to ensure compliance with safety, security, and quality standards.
  • Responsible for the movement of personnel between checkpoints.
  • Work with the Safety Quality Manager to ensure the safety and security of the operation.
  • Set a positive, professional example for the workforce.
  • Ensure front-line employee compliance with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, our clients, and regulatory authorities.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience working in an airport environment preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent customer service experience and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to build client relationships, foster growth of other team members, and direct reports.
  • Flexibility with a changing schedule and after-hours calls.
  • Must meet all requirements to receive the required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal.
