The Winnebago Parent Support Program under PSG/CIP offers comprehensive parenting education and assistance to parents, focusing on developing safe and effective parenting techniques while enhancing the parent-child bond. In your role as a Family and Youth Support Specialist, you will collaborate with families to achieve their objectives concerning: increasing family involvement, emotional management, addiction recovery, behavior modification strategies, stress and anger management, essential life skills, and financial literacy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FAMILY AND YOUTH SUPPORT SPECIALIST:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate family treatment strategies.
- Guide families in alignment with their treatment objectives.
- Deliver parenting education, support, and advocacy through individual, family, and group sessions.
- Conduct regular home visits to engage with families.
- Participate in client court hearings and provide updates on treatment progress as necessary.
- Organize and lead structured group, individual, and/or family activities.
- Utilize judgment to advocate for clients during emergencies and crises.
- Transport clients safely as required.
WORK LOCATION: Office operations are based in Oshkosh, WI, with local travel needed to meet clients in their homes or community settings. Flexibility to work hybrid/remote two days a week is available, with in-person meetings required for families located in Winnebago County.
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Hours may vary and include several evenings each week. No weekend work is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field is required.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance are necessary.
