About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Software Developer to join our team at Buyers Edge Platform. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in the design and implementation of our Data Manager system, specifically focusing on the development of a new Business Intelligence (BI) tool.

This tool will serve as a unified source of truth for analytics across our platform, enabling our team to better meet the BI needs of both internal and external stakeholders by providing critical data.

Your Impact
  • Work closely with the development team and stakeholders to design and implement new software features.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the business and our data to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
  • Design and build scalable solutions to support the growing needs of the organization.
  • Work with stakeholders and product owners to understand and define requirements and business needs.
  • Develop high-quality code that adheres to best practices in design, proper testing, and good documentation.
  • Fulfill stakeholders' needs and ensure they are satisfied with the end result.
About You
  • BA/BS in computer science, other related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience developing in an object-oriented language.
  • Fluent with Java as a programming language.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with relational databases (MySQL preferred, PostgreSQL a plus).
  • Strong experience with Java 8+.
  • Good understanding of agile development (SCRUM a plus).
  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Experience writing and working with RESTful API architecture.
