The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to join our team at Edwards Vacuum. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of inventory and materials throughout our facility.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and stocking inventory, including rotating stock to maintain shelf-life adherence
  • Delivering and retrieving materials and supplies to and from work or storage areas
  • Completing SAP transactions as necessary to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Maintaining inventory controls and records to ensure accuracy and efficiency

You will also be responsible for receiving and handling materials, supplies, and equipment, and maintaining inventory control and records.

What We Expect of You

We are looking for a team player who is able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be expected to:

  • Receives and unloads freight, either manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Checks for damaged goods and verifies quantity and quality of order
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area, adhering to 6S principles
  • Participates in assigned training programs and seeks clarification or additional information when required
  • Maintains forklift certification and safe operation of forklift and other mechanical lifting devices

You will also be expected to have excellent communication skills, including well-developed interpersonal skills relating to internal members and global operations personnel.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an operations environment, preferably with strong working knowledge of inventory management systems and supply chain management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy, specifically MS Office skills with high proficiency in Excel and Access
  • Knowledge of MRP transaction and planning systems, and coordinating domestic/international deliveries
