Job Title: Ammunition Specialist

As an Ammunition Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper receipt, storage, documentation, and issuance of conventional ammunition, guided missiles, large rockets, and related items. Your duties will include inspecting weapon systems, performing ammunition supply stock control and accounting duties, and operating automated and manual ammunition management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect weapon systems to determine need for repair or destruction
  • Perform ammunition supply stock control and accounting duties using both automated and manual procedures
  • Operate computer hardware and software/utilities or keep manual records in order to perform stock control and accounting procedures
Requirements:
  • Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
  • Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Must meet citizenship requirements
