Position Overview
The Old Colony YMCA is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Direct Care Staff. This position is essential in ensuring a secure and supportive environment for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement all safety protocols to maintain a secure atmosphere for both clients and team members.
- Observe and engage with clients to ensure adherence to program guidelines.
- Organize and oversee recreational activities for clients during their leisure time.
- Complete all required documentation and reports accurately.
- Respond effectively in crisis situations and participate in mandatory training sessions.
- Follow all organizational policies and procedures diligently.
Qualifications
For the Direct Care Staff role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Preferred educational background includes an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
- At least one year of relevant experience working with adolescents is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in computer skills is necessary.
- Ability to read and write clearly for incident documentation is required.
- A valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and access to a vehicle are mandatory.
- Completion of required training programs on an annual basis is expected.
Physical Demands
- Capability to assist in restraining residents when necessary.
- Ability to work effectively with clients exhibiting behavioral challenges.
- Visual and auditory acuity is essential for this role.
