Job Summary:

The Health Systems Specialist 2 will participate on a multi-disciplinary survey team to inspect developmental centers and/or community-based facilities as directed, and deploy aspects of the Qualified Individuals with Disabilities Professional Certification to ensure that the facilities surveyed meet minimum requirements to participate in the Medicaid program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct surveys of developmental centers and/or community-based facilities to ensure compliance with Medicaid requirements.
  • Deploy aspects of the Qualified Individuals with Disabilities Professional Certification to ensure that facilities meet minimum requirements.
  • Investigate complaints and participate in the performance of comparative surveys with staff from the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve the quality of care and services provided to individuals and communities.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Current registration as a Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • One year of post-licensure experience providing clinical services in a licensed healthcare facility or program.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems and quality improvement principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in providing case management services in a skilled nursing facility or care management along the long-term care continuum.
  • Strong dedication and desire to impact the quality of life for the aged and aging.
  • Ability to gather data as needed for reports and make appropriate recommendations for enforcement or sanctions.
