Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our facilities operations team at Franciscan Ministries. This is a full-time position responsible for the repair and maintenance of resident units, grounds, and common areas of our community.
About the Role
In this role, you will be expected to perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and other facilities-related tasks. You will also be responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and orderly environment for our residents and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, sweeping, etc., as necessary/directed.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed in accordance with established procedures.
- Replace burned out light bulbs, to include exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights.
- Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
- Maintain general plant and community to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
- Report all incidents/accidents, hazardous conditions, and defective equipment to your supervisor immediately.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Electrician or HVAC certification
- 3-5 years of experience in electrician or HVAC and general maintenance
- In-house renovation/remodeling project experience/Carpentry skills
- Superb mechanical abilities
What We Offer
- Competitive salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
- Full-time position with 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, with weekend rotation every 5 weeks
