Medical Oncology/Hematology Opportunity at Jamaica Hospital

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a well-established safety-net hospital, is seeking a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join its expanding Cancer program and collaborate with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC).

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in Medical Oncology/Hematology, with a passion for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the Cancer program.

The selected candidate will work closely with the MSKCC team to enhance cancer care in Queens, leveraging the strengths of both institutions to address the oncologic needs of the community.

The position will involve a mix of clinical care, teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities, with a focus on providing outstanding patient care and contributing to the growth of the Cancer program.

Requirements:

  • Board-certifications in Medical Oncology and Hematology or eligibility for certification
  • Eligibility for licensure in New York State
  • Interest in health equity and care for disadvantaged communities
  • Culturally sensitive and compassionate approach to patient care
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

The successful candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Attending/Assistant Professor at Jamaica Hospital and may also receive an appointment at MSKCC, with opportunities for cross-appointment and membership in MSK's Disease Management Team program.
