About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Management Specialist to join our team at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Located in America's Heartland, our metropolitan city offers a unique blend of urban and small-town charm.

As a Project Management Specialist, you will be responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of specified projects. This includes performing duties as the Contracting Officer's Representative, completing the Statement of Work, and monitoring the performance of work under contract.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate requests and review technical requirements for completeness and consistency with policies and regulations.
  • Review contract specifications and requirements, and ensure price and cost effectiveness.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, and adjust plans for efficiency and effectiveness to meet schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience in applying principles and practices of budget formulation, using computer systems to locate budget data, resource scheduling, and aligning resource allocations with fiscal requirements.

Alternatively, you may qualify with a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field such as accounting, financial analysis, business administration, or project management.
