Position Overview

The Director of Global Compliance will play a pivotal role in leading a team of compliance experts dedicated to ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies. This position requires a proactive approach to monitor and evaluate business practices in relation to local and international logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Guide a team of compliance specialists to provide timely assistance to colleagues regarding compliance inquiries and to facilitate the successful execution of daily operations and strategic initiatives.
  2. Stay informed about relevant transportation and trade regulations, including but not limited to the Indirect Air Carrier Security Program, Certified Cargo Screening Security Program, export controls, and other critical compliance frameworks.
  3. Oversee and manage inspections and investigations conducted by U.S. government agencies, ensuring effective mitigation strategies and voluntary disclosures are in place.
  4. Design and regularly update policies, procedures, training materials, and communication tools to ensure all departments meet compliance standards.
  5. Conduct internal compliance audits and generate monthly reports to identify potential violations, recommend corrective actions, and foster continuous improvement.
  6. Develop and implement robust internal controls to maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  7. Manage the organization’s Third-Party Risk Management Program, supporting supplier evaluation and contracting processes.
  8. Ensure the maintenance of necessary company licenses and registrations.
  9. Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Global Compliance and other leadership to execute the organization’s global compliance strategy.
