Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Culinary Training Class. This is an exciting opportunity to accelerate your culinary career and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. As a Culinary Training Class, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced chefs and learn the latest culinary techniques.

Responsibilities

* Prepare multiple ingredients to be cooked, including washing, chopping, slicing, and peeling of fruits and vegetables.
* Cook food to include baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, and boiling, and provide meals that are cooked, tasty, and visually appealing.
* Provide high-quality, fresh food to guests using standardized recipes and methods of preparation.
* Control the level of waste by proper production levels and converted portion guidelines.
* Store and label prepared and open food following the Choctaw Nation food safety guidelines.
* Practice proper food storage and follow suitable food serving temperatures.
* Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment by practicing proper housekeeping procedures and cleaning while working.
* Provide help with set-up, service, and clean-up of food production.
* Rotate stock to ensure usage and disposal occur before the expiration date.

Requirements

* Speak, read, and write English.
* Food Safety Certification.
* Six (6) months of culinary experience required or an equivalent combination of culinary education and experience.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a competitive salary range, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your growth and development.

Location

The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is located in the southeast corner of Oklahoma, and this position is based in one of our casinos or resorts. We offer a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, with opportunities to work with a diverse team of professionals.
