Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to the Utilization Management team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and identify areas for improvement in the Utilization Management process, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure that all Utilization Management activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements, including government-mandated regulations and contractual agreements.
  • Team Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve individual and team performance.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including physicians, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain reports and analytics to track key performance indicators, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of healthcare experience, including experience in a managed care setting, hospital setting, and/or physician practice setting.
  • Skills: Solid experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with proficient ability to navigate in a Windows environment.
  • Leadership and Management: Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and directing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Education: Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Specialized Skills: Data mining, analytical, and reporting skills, with ability to review and interpret data to make recommendations to leadership.
