At CarolinasDentist, we're dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and a positive work environment. We're seeking a compassionate and driven Dental Assistant to join our team in Chapel Hill.

Responsibilities

As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in our office, performing limited clinical duties under the direction of a dentist. Your tasks may include:

  • Equipment preparation and sterilization
  • Preparing patients for treatment
  • Assisting the dentist during treatment
  • Providing patients with instructions for oral healthcare procedures

You may also be responsible for administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Dental assistant certification (where required)
  • X-ray certification
  • Nitrous oxide certification (preferred)
  • Maintenance of annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and infection control training
  • Experience with relevant dental software
  • High school diploma or equivalent
