Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Environmental Consulting Associate, Geologist/Engineer to join our team. This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to engage in diverse site assessment and remediation initiatives within the environmental consulting sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field investigations, including sampling of soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water.
- Oversee drilling operations, soil logging, and the installation of monitoring wells.
- Coordinate drilling, surveying, and laboratory services to ensure project success.
- Provide oversight for construction on environmental remediation projects and manage operational maintenance of remediation systems.
- Assist in data analysis and the development of site work plans, technical reports, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely project delivery while adhering to quality, budget, and schedule expectations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations throughout project execution.
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors, regulatory bodies, and clients during field operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in geology, engineering, hydrogeology, or a related environmental science field, or equivalent experience.
- Recent graduates or candidates with up to 3 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Willingness to undertake multi-week, out-of-town field assignments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing detailed technical reports being advantageous.
- Commitment to safety protocols and practices.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic consulting environment, managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training is a plus; training can be provided if necessary.
