We value your expertise and knowledge.Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all unit functions during their designated shift.
Working collaboratively with the management team, the Nurse Coordinator directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serving as a resource for staff and embodying the organization's vision and values to foster an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Participate in the continuous assessment of care quality in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborate with experts and managers to cultivate a teamwork environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.
- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.- Support facility engagement initiatives by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly checks.
- Provide input on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff members.- Recommend and execute actions related to training, conflict resolution, personnel policy adherence, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to maintain a competitive organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor aspects according to patient care needs and productivity standards.- Oversee inventory control and assist in managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Florida Registered Nurse license in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure, with an active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire if holding a compact license.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse with an Associate or Bachelor's Degree.
