Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AV Technician to provide technical support and live event services for Answers in Genesis, the Ark Encounter, and the Creation Museum. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all audio-visual technology throughout our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for live events, including audio, video, and lighting operations.
  • Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of all AV equipment, including exhibit AV, VR troubleshooting, and support.
  • Collaborate with the AV Manager to purchase daily consumables and maintain inventory.
  • Support daily Ark/Museum operations, including conference room AV support and live audio, IMAG switching, and lighting operation.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Work closely with the AV Manager to ensure seamless event execution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in audio-visual installation and maintenance.
  • Experience with Alcorn McBride, Crestron, and Christie Digital Projectors preferred.
  • Experience with Q-sys and Dante Digital Audio a plus.
  • Experience with ETC EOS Lighting control and Green-Hippo media servers a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and servers/networking a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb ladders.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work weekends and flexible schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with touring, concert, and conference audio and lighting.
  • Formal AV-related training or degree a benefit.
