About the Program

The Mechanical Engineering Leadership Development Program at BAE Systems USA is a three-year rotational program designed to develop high-potential, entry-level individuals into future leaders. This program is ideal for recent college graduates who aspire to achieve their leadership potential and are looking for a challenging and rewarding career.

Program Highlights
  • Rotational Assignments: Participants will experience assignments in several operational functions, business areas, and product groups nationwide, including Electrical Design Engineering, Physics-based Analyses, Test/Verification Engineering, Production Support, and Systems Engineering.
  • Leadership Development: The program includes a week-long leadership development conference (LDC) and a technical and leadership curriculum, providing a holistic career development experience through a mix of in-person and virtual trainings.
  • Mentorship: A mentor is assigned to each participant to expose them to diverse and challenging experiences, while providing guidance in career development and off-program placement.
  • Education: Participants are required to complete a technical Master's Degree Program, with robust tuition assistance provided by BAE Systems.
  • Travel Opportunities: Participants will have the opportunity to travel to various locations within the United States, including Sterling Heights, MI, Minneapolis, MN, York, PA, Louisville, KY, and San Jose, CA.
Requirements

To be eligible for the Mechanical Engineering Leadership Development Program, candidates must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering: A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Leadership and Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated collaboration and leadership abilities in academic and non-academic pursuits.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Participation in a variety of extracurricular activities.
  • Internship/Co-Op Experience: Internship/Co-Op or project experience in a related field.
  • Diverse Work Experience: Diverse work experience.
