The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing financial transactions, including daily bookkeeping, record keeping, and tax records preparation. This role involves using accounting software and programs to process transactions accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
  • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
  • Providing administrative support for the finance department.
  • Data cleanup for items already in systems.
  • Accurately entering large volumes of data into QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive materials.
  • Assisting with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including reconciliations and accruals.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
  • Ensuring bills and payroll are paid promptly and accurately while adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Processing due invoices for payments.
  • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges.
  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and systems, such as QuickBooks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to accounts payable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on location and experience. The exact salary will be discussed during the interview process.
