About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Open Pit Surveyor to join our team at Barrick Gold. As a key member of our Mining Operations team, you will be responsible for providing accurate surveying and sampling services to support our open pit mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-level surveying and sampling activities to ensure accurate data collection and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement surveying and sampling plans
- Provide expert advice on geospatial data analysis and interpretation
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date geospatial databases and models
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Surveyor
Requirements
- Proven experience in open pit mining surveying and sampling
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong math and computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven safe work record
- Part 107 Pilot License (preferred)
