Job Summary

As a key member of the Frederick Health team, the Charge Nurse 3B Med/Surg Night Shift will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and leading a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Conduct regular patient rounds, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Recruit, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, providing coaching and guidance to support their professional development and growth.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote best practices and patient safety.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with hospital-wide strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Eligible for or currently licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Maryland.
  • Registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or BSN agreement with degree achieved within 5 years from the start of the position.
  • Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and/or other appropriate certifications.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical area of practice, with a focus on leadership and patient care.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, with weekend and holiday rotation. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
