Pharmacy Technician Job Description

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify the accuracy of final preparations before presenting them to the pharmacist.
  • Fulfill daily drug orders in a timely and prioritized manner under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Assist in processing returned drugs and recycling/disposing of them according to procedure.
  • Pre-pack frequently ordered medications, label, and stock them as needed during low-volume times.
  • Package materials and products manually.
  • Comply with government regulations, including HIPAA, and maintain a clean and organized workstation area.
  • Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary depending on business needs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous pharmacy experience required, with one or more years of long-term care experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of brand name/generic medications.
