Pharmacy Technician Job Description

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of medication preparation and dispensing.

Responsibilities:
  • Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify the accuracy of final preparations before presenting to the pharmacist.
  • Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently, prioritizing tasks under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Assist in processing returned drugs and recycling/disposing of medications according to procedure.
  • Pre-pack frequently ordered medications, label, and stock as needed during low-volume times.
  • Package materials and products manually.
  • Comply with government regulations, including HIPAA, and maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to business needs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No licenses required.
  • Previous pharmacy experience, preferably in long-term care, with a minimum of one year.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of brand name and generic medications.
