Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced diagnostics and repairs on designated equipment.
- Oversee the installation, validation, and maintenance of assigned machinery.
- Mentor and guide junior Field Engineers, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Facilitate communication with clients, serving as the escalation point for service-related inquiries.
- Manage customer issues from identification through to resolution, ensuring timely updates are communicated to all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain awareness of all ongoing issues affecting clients.
- Participate in and lead team meetings, contributing to strategic initiatives at both HQ and regional levels.
- Engage with clients to recommend additional services that enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate service logs and internal records, ensuring timely management of repair parts and cycle times.
- Utilize GE Healthcare's escalation protocols and work with national support teams to implement corrective measures for customer concerns.
- Actively participate in the account community for key clients, identifying potential sales opportunities and supporting revenue growth initiatives.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities to drive commercial success.
- Collaborate with sales teams and regional leadership to support business expansion efforts.
- Assist in training clinical or scientific personnel on the use of specific equipment.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in servicing electrical equipment. Alternatively, candidates with equivalent military training and experience, or those with a High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of relevant experience, will also be considered.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in:
- Interfacing with internal teams and external clients within a service-oriented framework.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic systems.
- Responding to and resolving customer inquiries effectively.
- Utilizing web applications and the Microsoft Office suite proficiently.
Compliance with GE Healthcare's standard background checks, including drug testing, is required. Employees must also adhere to all customer access policies, which may include proof of immunizations and additional background checks.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs. unassisted, and frequently engaging in physical activities such as bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching, and kneeling.
