Respiratory Therapist NICU Pedi

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Medical City Lewisville. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our NICU and pediatric units.
Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Graduate from an accredited school for Respiratory Care, recognized by the NBRC.
- Texas licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Current BLS from approved HCA vendor.
- Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP from approved HCA vendor.
- RRT registration from National Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners.
- One year experience in Respiratory Care and with training completed in NICU and/or Pediatrics required.
- Clinically proficient in respiratory care, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of neonate/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
