About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Thrive Pet Healthcare. As a key member of our hospital team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians in providing high-quality patient care, including facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests.
  • Support the medical team to ensure efficient patient flow and maximize productivity.
  • Provide friendly and informative customer service, including triage phone calls and processing payments.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, utilizing practice systems to ensure seamless communication.
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Utilize safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience, with direct animal/patient care required.
  • CVT/LVT/RVT certification (preferred, but not required).
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficient venipuncture, IV-catheter, and injection administration skills.
  • Ability to set up and position patients for digital radiographs/ultrasound.
  • Appropriate collection and processing of laboratory samples, with proficiency in point-of-care lab testing.
  • Ability to monitor anesthesia and assist veterinarians in surgical procedures.
