We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Expanded Learning Literacy Instructor to lead a gender-specific curriculum for girls in kindergarten through third grade as part of our East Bay Expanded Learning Programs.
Key Responsibilities- Support and maintain a safe and emotionally supportive environment for students.
- Create, plan, and execute lesson plans that support school day learning and promote literacy development.
- Collaborate with youth to support their learning and development, incorporating a youth-driven curriculum approach.
- Model Bay Area Community Resources' Best Practices and promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
- Classroom experience is a plus.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, afternoons until 6 p.m.
- Ability to reliably commute to Richmond.
- Commitment to social justice and leadership.
- Passion for learning and youth development, with a focus on K-12 education.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with teaching literacy concepts.
