  • Record upper river pool level readings every four hours and lower tide gauge readings hourly.
  • Secure the Bond Street gate at the beginning of the shift and unlock it prior to the arrival of the lock operator.
  • Immediately inform the Chief of the Albany Field Office or their designee if the upper river pool level exceeds 20.0 feet.
  • Direct inquiries regarding sandbags following guidance from the Chief of the Albany Field Office or their designee.
  • Remain stationed in the designated Security Guard Stand between inspections.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least twenty-one years of age.
  • Ability to compose clear, concise, and accurate reports in English.
  • Physically capable of fulfilling the duties outlined in this specification.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Education/Certification:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must hold a valid security guard license in the State of New York and adhere to all applicable state and local regulations.
