Job Summary

The Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology seeks a highly skilled Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join our academic eye care team as a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, teaching, and contributing to clinical research in a diverse academic eye practice.

About the Department

Our department is a multi-specialty single location academic practice with a robust clinical volume. We offer a wide range of eye care services, including cornea and external disease, glaucoma, anterior segment surgery, diseases of the retina, uveitis, ocular tumors, oculoplastic and orbital surgery, neuro-ophthalmology, contact lenses, low vision, and electrophysiology. Our team consists of talented ophthalmologists and optometrists who work together to provide comprehensive eye care to our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellence in patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various eye conditions
  • Teach and mentor students, residents, and fellows in a clinical setting
  • Contribute to clinical research and academic activities, including publishing papers and presenting at conferences
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures
