About the Role

Pactiv Evergreen is seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical service and support to our customers who own and operate our filling machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and service our filling machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Train customers' personnel on proper operating and maintenance techniques to ensure good packing outputs.
  • Communicate effectively with central scheduling, management, and other departments to ensure timely customer support and safety.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to identify and resolve any problems or situations with our equipment.
  • Provide learning experiences for both customers and our plant personnel on machine operation.
  • Meet corporate business and team objectives for antitrust compliance, business information protection, EEO, safety, quality, ethical behavior, and learning.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, use a meter, and troubleshoot electrical circuits.
  • Good working knowledge of pneumatics (valves, air cylinders, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal English).
  • Self-driven to work alone and in teams when needed.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Possess a passport for possible international travel or the ability to obtain one within the first year of hire.
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge to verify inputs and outputs of a PLC and other analog components from HMI.
  • Experience in operating/maintaining packaging equipment or equivalent in the dairy/juice industry.
