Job Summary

Timmons Group is seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Traffic Group in Columbia, SC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and planning transportation projects using relevant software and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design project components using MicroStation and other office software
  • Perform calculations and research to solve engineering problems
  • Develop design details and plan sets for transportation projects
  • Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates
  • Conduct field observations and inspections as directed by senior staff
  • Communicate with clients and internal teams as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 1-8 years of experience in Transportation/Traffic Engineering and site plan production
  • MicroStation proficiency is essential
  • Knowledge of traffic analyses, safety, forecasting, signal design, and management is preferred
  • DOT experience and EIT certification are a plus
