Pharmacist - Per Diem

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Family HealthCare Network. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Responsible for performing various functions related to the Pharmacy Department, including receiving prescription orders from providers, verifying patient-specific information, and reviewing/entering data into the pharmacy practice management system.
- Inventory Management: Responsible for maintaining prescription medication inventory levels, including ordering medications through software systems, verifying merchandise against invoices, and returning outdated/expired, damaged, overstock, and recalled merchandise for credit and proper disposal.
- Medication Therapy Management: Responsible for performing Medication Management Therapy for clinic patients per clinical protocols.
- Leadership: Functions as a Pharmacist-In-Charge in the absence of designated Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) and ensures Pharmacy compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as Family HealthCare Network policies.
- Support Functions: Performs other duties as assigned, including functioning as a Pharmacy Tech or Pharmacy Clerk, as directed.
- Education: Performance of the duties and responsibilities of the job requires the equivalent of extensive formal training in Pharmacy studies, including an understanding of the application of the theory and practices of the profession to the operations of the organization, usually in the form of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- Licenses and Certifications: Licensed in the state of California as a Pharmacist.
- Technical Skills: Ability to create highly complex documents in Microsoft Word, including linking multiple files and embedding objects linked to other documents, as well as the ability to use advanced functions of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Communications Skills: Requires the employee to effectively communicate their professional opinions and extrapolations of information they collect and synthesize/analyze, including the preparation and execution of presentations to large groups.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk and use repetitive hand movement to type and grasp. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach above and below shoulder height; the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
