About the Role

Kaweah Health, a leading community healthcare organization, is seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic recreation services and assessments to patients, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support wellness and recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans following physician's orders
  • Design and lead patient recreational activity programs
  • Complete timely documentation and meet departmental productivity requirements
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment within the therapy services area
Requirements
  • National Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or California Recreation Therapist Certificate (RTC)
  • HeartSaver AED certification and crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of related treatments and therapies
