Educational RequirementsAs per Classified Civil Service Specifications
Essential Qualifications
Initial Hiring: A minimum of six months in a Custodial Worker 1 role or equivalent experience; proof of successful completion of department-specific, advanced custodian certification assessments (such as Cleaning Management Institute, 3M(TM) S.M.A.R.T. Program, or other industry-recognized certification programs); capability to perform basic arithmetic operations and to comprehend and communicate using common vocabulary.
Continued Employment: Ongoing testing for Medical Center and Departmental Floor and Carpet Care, along with in-service training as mandated. The candidate must exhibit proficiency in all facets of the custodial worker role within three months of commencing employment.
