Position Overview: The maintenance electrician will be responsible for ensuring the functionality of electrical systems across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation: Execute the installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment while adhering to local and national electrical standards. This may include new construction initiatives or upgrades to existing electrical systems, including PLCs.
  • Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to guarantee safety and operational efficiency. This involves monitoring for wear, corrosion, and other potential issues.
  • Repairs: Identify and rectify electrical malfunctions, including faulty wiring, outlets, and circuit breakers. Troubleshooting skills are essential to mitigate electrical hazards.
  • Fabrication: Create replacement components as needed.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage vendor relationships where applicable.
Qualifications:
  • 3-4 years of journeyman experience in industrial electrical work. Strong verbal communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with management and colleagues. Basic experience with PLC diagnostics is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in an agricultural setting.
  • Completion of a 2-4 year technical program or equivalent practical experience.
  • OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
Additional Information: Some travel may be required, with overnight stays expected to be minimal. The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions. A valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance are necessary. Tools and a company vehicle will be provided. Compliance with required certifications in different states is essential. The position may involve extended hours during peak operational periods. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in confined spaces, as well as at heights exceeding 100 feet. Continuing education units (CEUs) may need to be maintained as required.
