Position Overview

PeaceHealth is in search of a Nutritional Services Assistant for a Part-Time, 0.80 FTE, Variable role. The compensation range for this position is between $17.37 and $26.03 per hour.

The starting salary is influenced by various factors, including education, training, work experience, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.

This role is governed by a collective bargaining agreement, and there may be multiple openings available.

Job Responsibilities

This role entails a variety of tasks within the kitchen and tray line operations.

Key Duties Include:

- Ensuring all dishware, flatware, pots, and pans are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the dish room and carousel.

- Assisting in the assembly of patient food trays on the tray line.

- Delivering and retrieving patient food carts to and from patient floors, as well as floor stock deliveries.

- Stocking small wares in the cafeteria service area.

- Monitoring and recording dish machine temperatures in the HACCP log.

- Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:
High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.

Experience:
Related experience is preferred.

Credentials:
Food Handlers Card - Washington is required.

Skills:
Basic computer and keyboarding skills are required.

Working Conditions:

Lifting Requirements:
- Cooks: Continuous movement around the area.
- Lifting: Frequent lifting up to 22 lbs, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, and carrying up to 20 lbs. Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and grasping.

- Diet Rep/Aide: Sedentary work, with the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

- Food Service Assistant: Continuous movement around the area, with frequent lifting up to 12 lbs and occasional lifting up to 44 lbs.

Environmental Conditions:
Ability to complete tasks in a noisy environment, and work near heated surfaces and water/liquids.

Mental/Visual Requirements:
Vision and hearing must be within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted). Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information is essential.
