Position Overview:


We are looking for an Animal Care Technician to become a vital part of our growing practice, providing exceptional support to our patients. You will collaborate with other skilled technicians and assist our licensed veterinary professionals in the daily operations of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Skills:
Assist veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians with appointments, prepare patients for surgical and minor procedures, and proactively set up for any necessary procedures or diagnostic tests.

Safely and compassionately restrain animals.

Accurately obtain vital signs, gather medical histories, and report any changes in a patient's condition to the veterinarian.

Collect and prepare laboratory samples, including fecal, urine, and cytology samples.

Maintain all medical equipment, including laboratory machines, surgical instruments, anesthesia equipment, and other essential tools for daily operations.

Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient updates and inquiries.

Position Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Flexible schedule, including availability for some weekends and holidays.

Knowledge of veterinary medical procedures and animal handling techniques.

Strong communication skills, good judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
