Asphalt Paver Operator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Paver Operator to join our team at Brox Industries, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a machine that spreads and levels hot mix asphalt on highways and streets.
  • Perform pre-shift inspections of machinery and comply with operating safety rules and regulations.
  • Fill in daily inspection reports and coordinate with the mechanic to report any problems with the equipment.
  • May oil, grease, or service equipment as needed.
  • Assist in other operations as designated by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Knowledge of asphalt paving best practices and compaction testing.
  • Must display a courteous and professional attitude when dealing with co-workers and the public.
  • The willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Be punctual and dependable, capable of lifting 50 pounds, and working in the sun most of the day.
  • A valid driver's license and hoisting license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
