As a key member of the Wellbridge Addiction Treatment and Research team, the Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Records Specialist will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a licensed inpatient medically supervised stabilization and withdrawal program, rehabilitation program, and reintegration program.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out the Wellbridge vision, values, and overall strategic planning, clinical management, patient care, budgeting, financial management, and quality management.

Key responsibilities will include fostering an environment of collaboration and respect with physician colleagues, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare team members, providing on-site nursing support to all treatment programs, and assisting the healthcare team with inpatient services including interviewing patients, vital signs, height and weight, data entry into an electronic medical record.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing select clinical tests, managing and operating equipment safely and correctly, demonstrating appropriate hand washing technique to ensure proper infection control and following universal precautions, administering and documenting medication under physician's order, and following protocols for safety and reduction of medical error.

Additionally, the Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Records Specialist will assist physicians with office-based procedures such as administration of intramuscular injections, organize exam rooms, including general cleaning, upkeep, and re-stocking of supplies, field clinically-related telephone calls and respond, and maintain understanding of current treatments, knowledge, and practices in addiction care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Foster an environment of collaboration and respect with physician colleagues, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare team members.

**Requirements:**

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
  • Current certificates for BLS and Infection Control.
  • Clinical competences in phlebotomy and point-of-care (POC) testing.
  • Familiarity with all relevant healthcare standards.
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to individual needs.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of clinical risk.
  • Clinical experience providing treatment for addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Experience in an addiction rehabilitation and/or residential environment.
  • Experience with therapeutic groups (preferably addiction-oriented), therapeutic communities, and inpatient care.
