Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Geography to teach courses at various times and locations. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Geography or a related field and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

The Adjunct Professor of Geography will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time position, with a maximum of five classes per academic year. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to diversity, and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Geography courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Evaluate student progress and inform students in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
