Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Sociology to teach courses at various times and locations. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Sociology or a related field and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Sociology courses to a diverse student population
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and application of course material
- Assess student progress and provide feedback in a timely manner
- Meet with students before or after class, or by appointment, to discuss their progress and provide guidance
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials
- Master's degree in Sociology or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and the community
- Commitment to academic excellence and student success
