We are currently seeking an Educator to enhance our expanding team. The Educator will employ comprehensive care strategies to promote the success and well-being of students. This role involves adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Association of Christian Schools International, utilizing the Abeka curriculum, and aligning with the school's vision to create a cohesive educational experience. Responsibilities include effective classroom management, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs, and ensuring student safety in all environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement holistic care strategies to support students and staff with a sense of responsibility and compassion.
- Follow policies and procedures in accordance with the Association of Christian Schools International and the TMS curriculum while facilitating both in-person and virtual learning.
- Actively engage in spiritually responsible practices under the guidance of the Principal, utilizing Biblical holistic care methodologies.
- Build and maintain relationships with students and families from diverse backgrounds with empathy and sensitivity.
- Teach enrichment classes for students in grades 3-8, including overseeing iReady sessions.
- Ensure the safety of students throughout the school day in all settings.
- Consistently meet curriculum objectives for student performance.
- Monitor and assess student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of grades.
- Keep organized student files in compliance with ACSI Accreditation Standards.
- Develop additional curriculum activities as needed, aligning with the mission of TMS.
- Implement classroom incentives to promote student engagement.
- Exhibit flexibility in adapting to new ideas and challenges, seeking guidance when necessary.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education is required.
- Possession of a current and valid state teaching certification.
- Previous experience working with children is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in office software applications, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
- Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management abilities.
