Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure daily maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of both yard locations.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment and small tools at the main yard.
  • Manage the receipt of equipment returning to the yard for maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bins at both yard locations.
  • Perform minor maintenance and servicing on company-owned equipment and small tools.
  • Operate a dump truck with a trailer for deliveries as required.
  • Prepare trailers for drivers for upcoming deliveries.
  • Reserve equipment for superintendents or foremen for next-day pickups.
  • Track inventory of small equipment and tools allocated to the field.
  • Ensure proper storage of tools, parking of equipment, and marking of safety hazards or work areas.
  • Clean spare vehicles bi-monthly, refuel them, and arrange for service as necessary.
  • Act as a backup driver when needed.
  • Complete other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Familiarity with construction or heavy equipment is advantageous.
  • Proactive approach to yard issues, equipment repairs, and problem-solving.
  • Strong teamwork and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to load and unload equipment or cargo without requiring a two-person operation.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.
  • Strong follow-through and attention to detail are critical.
  • Commitment to safety is mandatory.
Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent trade school certification.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience operating Skid Steer, Mini Excavator, Dingo, or Power Buggy for loading and unloading trailers is a plus.
  • Experience with John Deere and Toro equipment is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Work environment aligns with that of a construction or heavy equipment yard and repair shop.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods with frequent bending and stooping.
Work Environment:

The role involves working in a field and yard environment, with exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, and dirt. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime as needed.
