X-Ray Technologist Job Description

Concentra is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing routine x-ray examinations, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, including positioning and instructing on proper technique
  • Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure comfort and safety during exams
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure patient and team member safety
  • Maintain radiologic equipment, including calibration and record-keeping
  • Perform front office duties, including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, and checking in/out
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Completion of state-approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license (if applicable)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • At least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and terminology
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state-specific)
