Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Field Technician to join our team at Paladin Inc. As a Commissioning Field Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful commissioning of building systems, verifying that they meet or exceed client targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the commissioning process from Owner Project Requirement definition to Warranty Phase services
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and building automation systems
  • Prepare construction checklists, system verification checklists, and functional testing forms for various building equipment and systems
  • Manage the production of deliverables in a high-quality manner consistent with stated standards and compliance paths for certification programs
  • Provide weekly reports on assigned metrics, projects, and communications to demonstrate actions that drive completion of production goals per month
  • Read and understand schematics, technical diagrams, and construction project documentation to conduct complete reviews of the installation and operation of building systems
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment and systems problems and coordinate testing until the problems are resolved
  • Deliver documents that are well-written, technically accurate, and well-formatted
Requirements
  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in commissioning or systems verification for the institutional and commercial building markets
  • Experience using Engineering and Construction software, such as Revit, Bluebeam, ProCore, eComm, Autodesk360, Cx Alloy, Building Test
  • Experience with MEP systems, including air distribution systems, hydronic distribution systems, central utility plant operations, generators and power distribution, lighting controls, and Building Automation Systems
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass background check to work with correctional facilities and primary and secondary educational facilities
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision while planning, scheduling, and completing tasks within established deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends as required by testing methodologies and construction site conditions
