Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialized cardiopulmonary care, including breathing techniques, ventilator management, nebulizer treatment, oxygen therapies, external ventilation support, and pulmonary function assessments.
  • Assess patients' respiratory needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Perform and document complete patient assessments, including vital signs, breath sounds, cough, and respiratory pattern.
  • Check and maintain equipment and respiratory modalities, including invasive and non-invasive systems.
  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and handle blood specimens properly.
  • Charge, label, scan, and discard medications, including patient-owned medications.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Graduate of an AMA Respiratory Therapy Program
  • AZ Respiratory Therapist License
  • National Certified Respiratory Therapist or National Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • American Heart Association-issued BLS certificate
