Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues.

Our Respiratory Therapists are highly trained in delivering advanced breathing techniques, ventilator management, nebulizer treatment, oxygen therapies, external ventilation support, and pulmonary function assessments.

You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform full range of basic respiratory care for all patient populations
  • Perform and document a complete patient assessment, including vital signs, breath sounds, cough, and respiratory pattern
  • Check all equipment and respiratory modalities, maintain alarms, and document accurately and completely
  • Perform ABGs, handle blood specimens, report critical values, and maintain blood gas lab logs
  • Correctly charge, label, scan, and discard medications, including patient-owned medications

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Graduate of an AMA Respiratory Therapy Program
  • AZ Respiratory Therapist License
  • National Certified Respiratory Therapist or National Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • American Heart Association-issued BLS certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
  • American Heart Association-issued ACLS certificate
  • NRP or PALS certificate

Pay Range: $42.28/hour
