Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the administration of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders.

The successful candidate will work closely with our team to manage email inboxes, track participant information and project data, and contribute to the production of program reports, materials, and content.

Responsibilities
  • Email Management: Support the management of the program's email inboxes to ensure timely and accurate communication with participants and partners.
  • Data Tracking: Compile and track a wide range of participant information and project data, maintaining accuracy and completeness while supporting data collection.
  • Platform Administration: Support the administration of the Fellowship's platforms and systems to ensure smooth program implementation.
  • Content Creation: Contribute to the production of program reports, materials, and content, including virtual and/or in-person event logistics and producing event materials and resources as needed.
  • Research and Communication: Conduct research as needed, support communication with program participants and partners, and assist with developing and tracking traditional and social media communications content.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Support the accurate reconciliation of program expenses each month as needed, process and maintain financial records and transactions.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to a positive team environment, adhering to IREX's organizational values and management principles, and proactively support IREX's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts.
