Momentous Health at Franklin is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Unit Manager - Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department and ensuring the highest level of care for our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning, directing, and supervising the activities of the nursing staff to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the nursing department is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and update department policies and procedures as needed, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Staffing and Scheduling: Assist with staffing to ensure resident needs and regulatory requirements are met at all times, maintaining a skilled and dedicated team.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in federal, state, and local agency annual surveys, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance resident care.
- Performance Management: Complete annual performance reviews of subordinate staff, providing guidance and education to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accuracy of patient records, reporting and investigating incidents thoroughly and timely, and ensuring the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical needs of each patient are met.
- Collaboration and Communication: Assist physicians during rounds, provide guidance and training for aides, and demonstrate proficient nursing skills, promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication.
Requirements:
- Education and Licensure: Current State License as a Registered Nurse and a high school graduate/GED.
- Experience and Skills: Long-term care experience, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
